Slain Clarksville woman identified, homicide suspect in custody

(Clarksville Police)

Clarksville Police have identified a woman shot to death on Wednesday.

Tanesha Hardy, 36, died at the hospital after the shooting.

Officers were flagged down at about 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Mitchell Street by a man who said a passenger inside his car had been shot. Police found a Hardy with a gunshot wound. She later died at the hospital.

Homicide suspect Timothy Ogburn, 27, was located in Oak Grove, Ky. late Wednesday morning. He's now charged with first-degree murder.

Ogburn is also a person of interest in the shooting death of Julian Torres on Saturday behind Bob's Discount Tobacco.

Right now, Ogburn was jailed in Christian County, Ky. on a charge for felon in possession of a firearm, unrelated to Hardy's homicide. The suspect was then extradited to Clarksville on Wednesday charges unrelated to the homicide of aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm.
