A middle Tennessee pastor said another man with family in Tennessee was shot during the mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

Jason McMillan was shot twice during the mass shooting, according to Pastor Daryl Lewis with the Big Sandy First Baptist Church. Jason's condition is unknown, but he has been put into a medically -induced coma due to his gunshot wounds.

First Baptist is assisting the Big Sandy Christian Outreach Center and the Church of God of Prophecy, where MacMillan was a volunteer and church member, respectively, to raise money to fly McMillan's father out to see him.

McMillan is among more than 520 people injured after a 64-year-old man opened fire on the crowd at a county music festival on Sunday. Firefighters in Las Vegas said there is a wide range of injuries ranging from gunshot wounds, shrapnel, trample injuries as people tried to flee the scene.

Tennessee man killed

Another Big Sandy resident, Sonny Melton, was one of at least 59 people killed when a gunman opened fire Sunday night on the crowd of 22,000.

Melton's wife, Heather Gulish Melton, said she is in complete disbelief following her husband's death.

"At this point, I'm in complete disbelief and despair. I don't know what to say. Sonny was the most kind-hearted, loving man I have ever met. He saved my life and lost his," Heather said in a statement to Fox 17 News.

A coworker said the Meltons were in Las Vegas celebrating their first wedding anniversary.

Melton worked as a nurse at Henry County Medical Center, where his wife also works as an Orthopedic Surgeon. Community members also tell Fox 17 that Heather is the team physician for the Henry County High School football team.
