Metro Nashville Police said a 12-year-old girl was killed inside a Goodlettsville mobile home Thursday night.

MNPD officers are investigating Yhoana Arteaga's suspicious death as a homicide.

Officers said her family called 911 saying their daughter was down and in distress inside a mobile home at the Hillview Acres Mobile Home Park.

Family members found her dead inside their mobile home around 6:45 p.m. When the ambulance arrived, emergency crews tried to revive her with CPR, which did not work.

Metro Officers said Yhoana had been out of school this week with a leg injury from an athletic event. Police said the last time Yhoana had any communication with family was around lunch time.

Police would not confirm if there had been any visible trauma on the 12-year-old and would not say if there were any weapons inside the home.

Metro Officers plan to stay on the scene for a few more hours into Thursday night.

Anyone with information should call police at 615-742-7463.
