POLICE: Hunters Lane High School student robbed, assaulted by classmates

Arondae Harris-Metro Nashville Police

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Metro Nashville Police have arrested a Hunters Lane High School student after he and another student allegedly assaulted and robbed a classmate.

Police say the victim was at a friend's home along with a student known as "Day Day," later identified as 18-year-old Arondae Harris.

The victim says the three were hanging out last month when the mood changed and Harris told the victim to remove his money and cell phone from his pocket. Harris and the other teen then allegedly started hitting the victim with "sticks," taking the victim's iPhone and $300 in cash.

The victim was treated for his injuries at Skyline Hospital. On Sunday, Harris was booked into the Davidson County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery.

It was the second time Harris has been charged with a crime in the month of March. Just over two weeks before the alleged assault, police arrested Harris after a traffic stop revealed 22 bags of marijuana totaling 36 grams.

Harris was charged with a felony drug offense and possession. He is also awaiting the outcome of that case.

The other student accused in the assault has not been identified due to being a juvenile.
