UPDATE: One killed in south Nashville shooting

Suspected robber, Brad Gill (pictured) is shot and killed in what police are calling a drug-related attempted robbery.

UPDATE (12/3/17): A drug-related attempted robbery led to the shooting death at the Whispering Oaks apartments on Saturday night, say police. They identified as the victim as the suspected robber, 37-year-old Brad Gill of Nashville. Two other victims who lived at the apartment where the incident occurred were shot, a 15-year-old and 21-year-old. They are being treated at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Two other robbery suspects got away. Police recovered pounds of marijuana from the scene.


NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- One person is dead after a shooting in south Nashville.

The deadly shooting occurred at around 8 p.m. at the Whispering Oaks apartments on the 100 block of Tanglewood Court. Metro Nashville Police say two other victims were shot and transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

The victim killed has not been identified.

No word on any suspects at this time.

Police are investigating.
