Man killed in crash on I-24 identified, investigation ongoing



Metro Police have identified a man killed in a crash Thursday morning.

Brenden McNiff, 34, of Clarksville was killed in the crash on I-24 near Old Hickory Boulevard at about 1:15 a.m.

Witnesses told police a vehicle swerved off the road for unknown reasons and rolled several times.

McNiff and another occupant, Rachel Parson, 28, of Clarksville were ejected from the vehicle. Parson is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police are still trying to determine who was driving the vehicle.


Officials responded to a wreck on I-24 West at exit 62 just after 1:00 a.m.

Multiple vehicles were involved and one car went off the interstate and through a fence.

Two people were ejected from the vehicle.

A male was deceased on the scene and a female taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with injuries. The injured person's condition is unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
