Four charged in East Nashville meth lab bust

Metro Police said four people were charged in a meth lab bust in East Nashville on Monday.

MNPD said undercover officers served a search warrant at a home at 1010 Davidson Street around 3:30 p.m. Monday after making undercover purchases of meth at the home.

Heather Hill, 29, Homer Lee Disher, 29, both residents at the home on Davidson Street, Steven Nelson, 39, of South 7th Street and Kecia Garrett, 46, of Old Smith Springs Road, are each charged with manufacturing meth, unlawful gun possession during the commission of a felony, and possession of Schedule I & II drugs in a drug free zone.

Detectives seized 44 grams of meth, 24 ecstasy pills, a gun and $1,410 in cash. MNPD said nine officers were possibly contaminated by the meth lab. Those officers were sent to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be decontaminated.

All suspects are jailed on a $150,000 bond each. Kecia Garrett has previous convictions for aggravated robbery, robbery, and felony oxycodone possession.

Some Metro Officers are being decontaminated Monday after coming into contact with a meth lab in East Nashville.

MNPD said undercover officers served a search warrant at a home at 1010 Davidson Street around 3:30 p.m. Monday after making undercover purchases of meth at the home.

Upon entering the home, the officer found an active meth lab. Detectives seized 44 grams of meth, 24 ecstasy pills, a gun and $1,410 in cash.

Police said all components for a meth lab were inside the home.

MNPD said nine officers were possibly contaminated by the meth lab. Those officers were sent to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be decontaminated.

All officers have since been released from the hospital. MNPD said two men and two women were sent to General Hospital and will be charged with manufacturing meth for resale.

There's no word on the identity of the person receiving the search warrant.
