Nashville police: Parents charged after 2-year-old tests positive for cocaine
MADISON, Tenn. (WZTV) - Two Madison parents are facing child neglect charges after their 2-year-old was seen in a photo with a pipe in her mouth and the toddler subsequently tested positive for cocaine.
Tamara Pack, 24, and Sabastian Daugherty, 26, of Cude Lane, are both charged with child neglect of a child 8 years old or younger. Daugherty is also charged with disorderly conduct and driving with a revoked license.
Department of Children Services caseworkers and Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a welfare check on that 2-year-old and her sister in Madison on Thursday after receiving a photo of the toddler with a pipe in her mouth.
The 2-year-old tested positive for cocaine and Benzodiazepines. According to the affidavit, police told Daugherty to stay away from the children. He then left the house on a revoked license and picked up his other daughter from school and brought her back home.
Police later arrested both parents. They are being held in Davidson County Jail. Daugherty’s bail was set at $15,000 and Pack’s bail was set at $10,000.
