Nashville man killed, TDOT workers injured in head-on crash identified
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
Metro Police said a South Nashville man who was killed in a head-on crash with a TDOT truck on Thursday has been identified.
Hong Thai, 52, was killed when his Nissan Sentra crossed into the northbound lane of Nolensville Pike and struck a TDOT truck head-on.
Police said it's not clear why Thai's vehicle cross the center line.
The TDOT truck, an Explorer, was being used by two TDOT workers who had been conducting survey work in the area. Workers William Padgett, 22, and Jason Burton, 37, received minor injuries in the crash.
Thai was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
