Arrest made in Nashville arson caught on camera
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
The Nashville Fire Department said a man has been arrested after he was caught committing arson on camera.
Torey Hayes, 37, of Nashville was arrested after police released video of an arson along Stokers Lane on Dec. 31.
In the video, a man can be seen lighting a vehicle on fire.
The fire department said Metro Police officers helped identify the suspect.
Hayes is charged with aggravated arson and felony vandalism. He's being held in Davidson County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The Nashville Fire Department's Arson Investigation Unit is asking for the public's help identifying a man who lit two cars and a home on fire last year.
Fire Department officials shared video of the man lighting a vehicle at 2825 Stokers Lane on fire on December 31,2016. The suspect can be seen riding his bicycle up to a vehicle, pour liquid on the car and light it on fire before fleeing the scene.
The fire spread to another vehicle and the garage to the home. Firefighters were able to put the fire out and no one was injured.
Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME. Tipsters will be eligible for up to $1,000 in reward money.
