Murfreesboro man found with almost 2,700 Xanax bars, marijuana wax, host of other drugs

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.--Murfreesboro Police have arrested a 25-year-old after finding nearly 2,700 Xanax bars in a safe and other drugs and weapons inside the residence.

According to the arrest report for Tyler Young, police were conducting a drug investigation at The Villager Apartments on Tuesday when they knocked on Young's door. Police say they could smell marijuana coming from inside the residence and Young allowed officers inside to search.

At first, Young admitted to smoking marijuana and told police he also had possession of some xanax bars. Police found five bars and some marijuana in the residence along with two handguns. They also found a large amount of marijuana wax and another 68.5 xanax bars in the residence.

Continuing the search, police also found a safe located in Young's closet. Young opened the safe for the officers and inside they found a large bag containing 2,695 xanax bars, three viagra pills, 18 cyclobenzaprine pills, 9 gabapentin pills, 9 bottles of testosterone and 26 trazadone pills.

Police say Young admitted to selling xanax, cocaine, and marijuana wax. Young allegedly stated he sells 2,500 xanax bars per month.

Young was arrested on charges of selling schedule 2,3,4, and 6 narcotics, being in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a handgun during a crime.
