Four injured after tractor trailer, 8 vehicles collide on I-440 in Nashville


UPDATE: 11:15 a.m.

Metro Police said four people were injured in a crash on I-440 in Nashville involving eight vehicles and a tractor trailer.

It happened on I-440 near Belmont Boulevard by the Granny White Pike overpass.

Four people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

All lanes have since reopened.


UPDATE: 10:30 a.m.

Metro Police said there were multiple injuries reported, at least one person critically injured, after a semi struck several crash on I-440 Tuesday morning.

It happened along I-440 near Belmont Blvd. underneath Granny White Pike.

Police said a semi struck several vehicles. Two lanes of I-440 have since reopened.

One person was critically injured and several other injuries were reported.

A multiple vehicle crash had closed I-440 in Nashville.

The crash happened at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday on the interstate near Belmont Boulevard.

The crash involved several vehicles, and TDOT cameras appeared to show a jack-knifed tractor trailer blocking part of the roadway.

Injuries were reported.
