Mt. Juliet Police said they believe two or three teenagers are responsible for area robberies.

On Sunday afternoon, a teen armed with a revolver rushed a woman and stole her purse in Publix parking lot at 665 S. Mt. Juliet Road.

The gunman is believed to be a black male teenager who police said took the woman's purse after getting into her vehicle. The teen fled in a 2008-1016 year model maroon Chrysler Town & Country minivan.

Police believe the same suspect was involved in an attempted armed robbery in a neighborhood just outside of Mt, Juliet city limits. The suspect was armed with a shotgun in that case, police said. The gunman was described as a black male teenager with curly black hair.

Police believe there could be two or three teens involved in area robberies. Detectives are working with other agencies to collaborate information.
