$1.2 million in meth seized during traffic stop on I-65 in Williamson County

Williamson County deputies seized more than $1 million in crystal meth during a traffic stop on I-65 over the weekend.

Francisco Luna, 21, of Edinburg, Texas was arrested after a traffic stop on I-65 northbound near the Franklin Exit on Friday night.

Luna was travelling in a 2000 Ford F250 pickup when he was pulled over for failing to maintain his lane of travel.

After the stop, K9 Ammo detected the presence of narcotics in the truckbed. Deputies found 20 rolls of industrial shrink wrap with crystal meth hidden in each tube. Deputies said the street value is estimated at $1.2 million.

Luna is charged with manufacture/distribution of schedule II drugs, introduction of contraband into a penal facility and failure to maintain lane of travel. His bond was set at $800,000.
