MLS to Nashville: Vanderbilt coach weighs in on soccer interest in Music City
NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
The Vanderbilt Women's Soccer Coach said Tennesseans' interest in soccer continues to grow as the city vies for the next Major League Soccer franchise.
Nashville is competing with 12 cities to be the home of a new MLS team. Some argue Nashville is high on the list after hosting the Gold Cup game for a record-breaking crowd.
The MLS is set to decide the first two of four expansion bids in December.
Coach Darren Ambrose said the interest in soccer continues to grow since the Gold Cup game, along with Nashville's youth soccer clubs.
