Metro Police: President's visit costs more than $29K in overtime
NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
Metro Police gave a cost breakdown Monday for President Trump's visit to Nashville last week.
According to Metro Police Spokesperson Don Aaron, approximately 475 officers staffed Trump's visit as part of route security/motorcade downtown or as part of the Hermitage visit.
Aaron said 266 officers involved in Wednesday's visit were in an overtime status at some point.
Those officers averages 3.3 hours of overtime each. Overtime costs amounted to $29,871.98.
