Memphis-Nashville 'adult entertainers' arrested for murder of Missouri man
MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Mo.--Four "adult entertainers," who reportedly traveled back and forth from Memphis to Nashville, are behind bars for the murder of a Missouri man.
The Mississippi County Sheriff's Office launched a search for the four women last week after a 55-year-old man was found dead in his Wilson City, Mo., home on August 1.
Police say the women were in the state advertising escort services online and the victim, Ralph Edward Cross, had been seen with four women before his death. Officers said a witness saw three of the women in the home while another sat in a car outside.
Investigators found a 9mm shell casing at the scene of the crime and believe robbery was the motivation before Cross' murder.
An interstate alert was issued for the women last week and all four turned themselves in to police last Thursday. They are facing charges of first-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
Brittany Curry, 28; Johniesha Simmons, 19; Ponesha Taylor, 23; and Lauteshia Dotson, 23, are being held without bond.
