One man dead after a shooting in Clarksville
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. —
Clarksville Police responded to a a shooting just after 10:00 p.m. on November 7.
The shooting occurred at a home on 100 Oaks Drive. Once officers arrived, they discovered a male in his 30's with a gunshot wound to the torso area. He was taken to a Vanderbilt Hospital where he died.
The investigation has revealed that four people were inside the house when two armed men came inside through an open back door. There was a confrontation inside the house and multiple shots were fired; striking the man.
The armed men took property from inside of the house and fled the scene before officers arrived.
According to police, this does not appear to be a random act and there is no danger to the public.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
