Man dies after crashing into a pole in South Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
Metro Police responded to a four vehicle crash at the intersection of Granny White Pike and Woodmont Boulevrad around 10 a.m.
According to police, a 2004 Nissan Frontier pickup was traveling east on Woodmont Boulevard when it rear-ended a Lexus sedan at a red light at the Granny White Pike intersection.
The Lexus then crashed into the back of a Chevrolet pickup truck, causing the Chevrolet to then crash into a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.
The Nissan Frontier then continued around the other three vehicles into the intersection before hitting a utility pole.
The driver of the Frontier, identified as Paul Lindquist, 67, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
Police have yet to determine if Lindquist suffered a medical event before the crash.
No other drivers were injured.
