Man arrested in Gallatin fatally shoots himself in back of patrol car
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating a self-inflicted, in-custody shooting by a man arrested in Sumner County.
The TBI says 27-year-old Wilson L. Wendell was arrested by Gallatin Police overnight. While being transported to jail in the back of a patrol car, Wendell retrieved a gun from his person and shot himself in the head.
