Major Smyrna intersection reopens following crash involving a semi
SMYRNA, Tenn. (WZTV) —
UPDATE: All lanes have opened in all directions.
Crews are on scene trying to repair power lines and traffic lights after a bad crash shuts down a popular Smyrna intersection.
Smyrna police say just after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, a van and a semi hauling cars were involved in an accident near the intersection of Nissan Boulevard and Enon Springs Road.
No one was seriously hurt or taken to the hospital, but the crash did cause damage to a power pole, downed power lines, and put out traffic signals. Right now, the intersection is completely closed in all directions while Smyrna Police, Smyrna Fire, Smyrna Utilities, and Middle Tennessee Electric crews work to clear the scene.
The intersection isn't expected to clear until 10 a.m.
