Lightning strike causes fire at Nashville hotel

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Firefighters put out a fire at a Nashville hotel this morning caused by a lightning strike.

The Comfort Suites on Percy Priest Drive caught fire on Saturday morning after a lightning strike hit the building causing a fire on the roof. The building was evacuated.

Firefighters extinguished the fire. No injuries are reported.

Hotel guests tell FOX 17 News that no smoke detectors or fire alarms went off during the time of the fire.

The hotel is closed.
