PHOTOS: Free adoptions offered at Nashville shelter during "March Wagness" event
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) —
A Nashville shelter is at capacity and is waiving adoption fees in an effort to clear the shelter.
It's all part of Metro Animal Care and Control's "March Wagness" event.
"What better way to watch your favorite team than with your new forever friend by your side. Plus they won’t laugh at you when your bracket busts," a news release from MACC said.
From now through Sunday, all adoptions fees are being waived. All pets adopted from MACC are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated. MACC says that's a nearly $250 value.
Metro Animal Care and Control is open seven days-a-week for adoption from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., with special evening hours on Thursday until 6 p.m.
