Crossville bank robbery suspect arrested in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The suspect in a Crossville bank robbery this morning is apprehended in Nashville.
The Upper Cumberland Federal Credit Union on Livingston Road was robbed by a woman just before 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Crossville Police Department. The suspect escaped before police arrived.
The woman was located in Nashville and arrested a couple hours after the robbery. Police believe she has been involved in other bank robberies.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Metro Nashville Police Department, Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, in addition to the Crossville Police Department, were all involved in the case.
The investigation is still ongoing and more information is expected to be released by the Nashville office of the FBI, as it becomes available.
