NFD battles 'tall and skinny' house fire
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A fire broke out at a house on Pecan Street this evening.
Crews arrived to a fully engulfed house fire on the 1700 block of Pecan Street that broke out at after 9 p.m. Tuesday night, according to the Nashville Fire Department. Firefighters warned the structure was in danger of collapsing.
One firefighter suffered a heat-related injury, says the fire department.
The Nashville Fire Department says that the fire at the "tall and skinny" home spread to the house next door. The fire department has recently been training fighting fires at these popular homes. They say this shows the challenge they face in these situations.
No word what caused the fire, but new homes are under construction in the area.
