College student accused of murdering father in middle Tennessee

A college student has been arrested in the murder of his father in White County, Tenn.

Joshua Nathaniel Jordi, 21, a student at Minnesota State University, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father, Timothy Jordi, 51.

Timothy Jordi was found dead at his home along Washington Street in Sparta, Tenn. on March 8. He was found by deputies who had gone to do a welfare check after Timothy didn't show up for work.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said an investigation showed Joshua was responsible for his father's death. The son was subsequently arrested and booked into Blue Earth County Jail in Mankato, Minn. where he is awaiting extradition to Tennessee.

Joshua's bond was set at $1.5 million.
