CODE RED: Below freezing temps remain for Middle Tennessee, more snow in coming days

Temperatures below freezing will remain in Middle Tennessee this weekend, allowing the snow and ice from Friday's winter storm to linger.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Temperatures below freezing will remain in Middle Tennessee this weekend, allowing the snow and ice from Friday's winter storm to linger.

Wind chill temps for some areas Saturday morning will be in the single digits and actual temperatures will remain in the 20s throughout the day. Sunday will see a slight increase in temps but still remain below freezing.

Snowfall totals in Middle Tennessee from Friday's storm range from .6 inches in Nashville to 5 inches in Paris. Clarksville and Dover are reporting 4 inches, followed by Portland (3 inches), Westmoreland (3 inches), Springfield (3 inches), and Whitehouse with 2 inches.

Another winter storm is projected to impact Middle Tennessee Monday night into Tuesday morning. This storm is not expected to bring icy conditions and will be mainly snow according to FOX 17 News Meteorologist Justin Chambers.
