Clarksville Police are searching for several suspects after a robbery attempt was foiled by a 911 caller.

Officers responded to the reported robbery in progress at Walgreens along Madison Street Thursday morning.

Four men entered the store at different times and one of the suspects brandished a handgun, telling employees to get on the ground.

Two men then jumped behind the pharmacy counter -- but a citizen in the drive thru saw what was happening and called 911.

All four suspects then fled on foot. They are described as being in their late teens or early 20s.

Police are still searching for more surveillance video in the area as the investigation remains active and ongoing.
