Alcohol evidence found in deadly accident with Nashville MTA bus that injured 16
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A 54-year-old Nashville man has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash involving an MTA bus Wednesday.
William A. Passalacqua of Creekstone Cirle died Wednesday night after crashing into the rear of the bus on the 700 block of Murfreesboro Pike.
Police say Passalacqua was driving his 2002 Ford Ranger pickup when he drifted out of his lane and struck the rear of a stopped MTA bus unloading passengers.
He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but died from his injuries.
A passenger in Passalacqua's truck received minor injuries as did 15 passengers on the bus.
Police say the truck smelled of alcohol, evidence of alcohol was found in the truck and Passalacqua's license had been revoked.
