AEG to build luxury cinema, music venue at Nashville Yards site
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and Southwest Value Partners (SWVP) have agreed to allow AEG to build a mixed-used entertainment district in downtown Nashville.
Los Angeles-based AEG will purchase four acres of the Nashville Yards project to build a 4,000 capacity music venue, a Regal Cinemas luxury theatre complex, a 600-700 capacity live entertainment club, and a boutique hotel.
The addition will add to the expansive 15-acre Nashville Yards project which will consist of hospitality, retail, residential, office, and entertainment space. A Hyatt Regency hotel will be the first site to open at Nashville Yards with a completion date of 2020. AEG's site will be located at 10th Avenue between Commerce Street and Church Street. AEG also has an option to acquire another 1.5 acre parcel for development under the agreement.
Regal Entertainment Group's VP of Real Estate Todd Boruff says the Regal Cinemas location will be state-of-the-art. “The Nashville Yards theatre will feature a new level in moviegoing, including luxury recliners in every auditorium for our guests to enjoy. We are truly excited to be a part of this new entertainment district and connected to the vibrant charm that downtown Nashville offers," Boruff says.
