13-year-old arrested for threatening to 'shoot up' Nashville middle school
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A 13-year-old middle school student has been arrest for threatening to "shoot up the school," say Metro Nashville Police.
Police say the Dupont Hadley Middle School student was arrested Wednesday night for sending an anonymous email making the threat to the school's principal on February 25.
Detectives were able to trace the email back to one belonging to the student's mother. The student admitted sending the email police, allegedly stating he did it on a dare from online gaming friends.
The student was booked into juvenile court for making a false report of an emergency which is a felony.
