CORRECTION: The data represents 10 days, not one day of internet use by Metro employees.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- FOX17 uncovered the internet history of Metro government workers and we're getting a better idea of how they spend their time on the job. Turns out, in a single day, metro workers hit up Facebook more than 1.4 million times. Government workers also found time to get on YouTube almost 600,000 times, and on that same day, they also managed to do a little online shopping hitting up multiple retail websites, online storesm, and even browsing through internet dating sites. The average government worker makes $45,000 and YOUR taxmoney pays their salary. Metro's IT Department responded with its company policy. Watch FOX17's Meagan O'Halloran's full report.
