ANDERSONVILLE- A murder case takes an unusual twist when a relative is accused of interfering in the search for answers. Nikki Burgess disappeared from her Hermitage home May 23rd. Since then, friends and family have been trying to find her and have posted missing person fliers about her. On Saturday they say a woman started tearing down their fliers. Nikki's friends tell FOX 17 she is the mother of a Caleb Cannon and he's a person of interest in this case.
"When she walked up, she reached her hand back and I thought she was going to hit my friend. That's when she reached up and tried to rip down the poster and I was also scared. We thought she was going to rear-end us, she was driving erratically " said Brittany McCann, who caught the whole thing on cell phone video.
Right now Metro Police are working to identify a second person of interest in the case. They're still trying to find Nikki's body and make an arrest.
