Volkswagen Announces New SUV to be Made in Chattanooga

WOLFSBURG, Germany-- Volkswagen has announced it will be building a midsize SUV at the Chattanooga facility, investing more that $600 million in the area and adding 2,000 jobs at the plant.
Governor Bill Haslam and Senator Bob Corker were on-hand for the announcement. Production on the vehicle will start in the fourth quarter of 2016, with the first car rolling off the assembly line by the end of the year.
