Tom Hiddleston, who shot to fame in the Marvel movies playing Loki, is set to play Hank Williams in an upcoming film about the singer's rise to fame called "I Saw the Light."
Hiddlestone has had a varied career. The 33-year-old British actor played F. Scott Fitzgerald in Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" and starred in the historical 2011 drama "War Horse."
As part of his role in "I Saw the Light," Hiddleston will be singing "Your Cheatin' Heart," "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" and "Hey Good Lookin'."
Filmmaker Marc Abraham, whose only other directing credit is 2008's "Flash of Genius," will both helm the project and write its script, pulling from Colin Escott's 2009 biography.
There isn't a release date yet, but "I Saw the Light" is expected to begin production in Louisiana in October.
