Metro Police Impersonator Identified, Warrants Issued

NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- Metro police have identified and issued warrants for the arrest of Charles Virgil Thompson II. The 31-year-old is charged with criminal impersonation of a police officer, theft and false imprisonment following two incidents in which Thompson stole money from individuals.
The first incident took place last Tuesday, when Thompson posed as a police officer and pulled a man over by flashing an interior blue light. Thompson took cash from the man's wallet. The second incident occurred on Wednesday morning, when Thompson took a man's ATM card and tried to withdraw money.
Thompson had an unknown female accomplice during the crimes. Anyone with information on Thompson's whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 74-CRIME or text the word "CASH" and their tip to 274637.
