Convicted Sex Offender Caught Driving Ice Cream Truck Around East Nashville, In Court July 18

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A convicted sex offender is caught driving an ice cream truck around children in east Nashville.
Metro police did surveillance on registered sex offender, 35-year-old Larry Frierson, after they discovered that he had an undisclosed secondary location at the 200 block of Cleveland Street, according to the affidavit.
Police spotted Frierson in a registered green and blue Dodge van ice cream truck on July 10. They tracked him driving through several east Nashville streets and observed children approaching the vehicle, before eventually arresting him.
Frierson, who is listed as homeless on the sex offender registery, was arrested in 2004 for criminal attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery. In 2006, he was convicted of two counts of attempted aggravated sexual battery of a 4-year-old male in Davidson County, according to the police affidavit.
Frierson is in Davidson County Jail on $15,000 bond for sex offender costume/employment violation and one count of sex offender registration violation. He is due in court on July 18.
