At least one person has died as a result of a car wreck Thursday on I-65 at mile marker 110 in Robertson County, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman.
A Ford Taurus going north crossed the grass median and hit a Kia Sorento SUV going south. Then a Jeep Grand Cherokee, also going south, hit the Sorento.
(Preliminary information from the accident site indicated that two people had been killed: the driver and passenger of the Taurus. Public Information Officer Sgt. Bill Miller has updated saying that only the driver died.)
All passengers of all three vehicles are still alive and were LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The names of the people involved have not been released. It is currently believed that the people in the Taurus are from the Sumner County/Westmoreland area; the people in the Kia Sorento are from somewhere in Kentucky; and the people in the Jeep Grand Cherokee are also from Sumner County.
