Tenn. - The man who called 911 on his fiancee after he says she drove off under the influence with their two kids in the car says he's trying to get her some help.
Victor Ruiz gave Fox 17 access to a video of the alleged incident.
Ruiz says he recorded the video while he was following Erin Holiman, to try to get her to pull over. The children were in his car at the time, Ruiz said.
Ruiz says Holiman stopped and agreed to let Ruiz drive the family home, but instead of handing over the keys, Ruiz said Holiman drove off with the kids in the car.
Ruiz then called 911. Officers arrested Holiman early Monday morning. She now faces a DUI charge.
Ruiz and Holiman are both musicians that often play in Nashville bars. Ruiz says Holiman has a history of alcohol-related problems and is coming forward to get her some help.
"I love her," Ruiz said. "I'd do anything right now for her to wake up and say, 'hey, it's not worth losing my kids.'"
Holiman could not be reached for comment but her attorney says a Wilson County judge issued a temporary order of protection against Ruiz Thursday.
