NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A heated argument ignites after a boyfriend douses his girlfriend with a flammable liquid and sets the bed she's sitting on on fire.
The boyfriend and girlfriend left their shift at LP Field Saturday where they were working during CMA Fest because the woman was not feeling well, according to the Metro police report. The boyfriend, 35-year-old Donald Brown, was not happy with this decision.
Brown reportedly went home and drank, becoming combative. When the victim went into the bedroom in an attempt to calm him down, he poured rubbing alcohol on her pants and the bed and made the statement that she was going to die now, before proceeding to set the mattress on fire, according to the affidavit.
The victim was able to get out unharmed. Brown also ran out, but reportedly returned and admitted to setting the fire.
Police have booked Brown with attempted murder. His bond is $50,000.
