ONTARIO -- Nit-picking over everything until it's "perfect" could be sending you to an early grave.
New research from Brock University suggests perfectionism should be considered as a risk factor for disease, similar to obesity and smoking. It's estimated two in five Americans display such tendencies.
Thanks to social media, those numbers are increasing, Studies show perfectionists have worse physical health, taking more sick days every year.
Even worse, researchers at Trinity Western University found self-declared perfectionists have a 51-percent greater risk of dying early.
