NYC Raising Age to Buy Cigarettes

City Council just adopted a new bill that will raise the age to buy tobacco from 18 to 21.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he will sign it into law. So, it will go into effect six months after that.
This new bill gives New York City the most strict limits on buying tobacco products in the country.
