At Juel Salon in Elliston Place, everyone in the chairs one particular Wednesday is  getting a free haircut.  An average ticket in a high end salon like this runs anywhere from $150 - $300.

At Juel Salon, ( ) people willing to have their hair cut or colored free while stylists practice new techniques can sign up on the website.  Salon owner, Johnna Rightmyer says using a mannequin is not the same.  "We don't really get the reality of me teaching a cut or color to the assistants coming in.  Some of us have gone to fashion week or we've gone to LA to do intense training and we bring it back here."

Other high end salons like Trim on 12th South and Fruition in the Belmont area do the same.

Sara Oliveira just moved here from California and her car broke down when she got here.  Like so many, she's chasing her music dreams & she's going to look good while she's doing it. "Makes me feel fresh and like I want to go out,  but I don't have a car right now, but I'll be looking fresh in my house so maybe I'll Skype somebody." Saving You Money: Salon Services
