SAVING YOU MONEY:  Online Shopping Tricks

It's an online trick that's sure to pay off this shopping season.   It's called shopping then stopping.  Add things to your virtual shopping cart, but don't place the order.
Wait for that email that will surely come with a promo code for a discount or free shipping.
Once the offers start piling up in your inbox, go back into your shopping card and redeem them.  From $5 dollars off up to 25 percent off, you're sure to see the deals show up in your email.
Lisa Lee, an online shopper, explains what she experienced, "It is surprising to see that right away, even hours after looking at their website and thinking about it, they would send you an email sometimes 20 percent off."

Laura Harders of the blog, Beltway Bargain Mom, says take advantage of online databases for even more savings.  Sites like savings.com and pricegrabber.com, pull coupons and deals from multiple retailers doing all of the work for you.

After cyber week, Harders says she's noticed another trend around mid month.  She says December 15th, a lot of retailers will discount jewelery, handbags and other apparel. They're trying to clear their inventory.
That times well with the annual free shipping day.    Hundreds of retailers will participate on December 18th with delivery guaranteed by Christmas.
