SAVING YOU MONEY:  New Year's Eve Train

Stacy Case

Two weeks from Tuesday night, you'll want to have your New Year's Eve transporation in place.  If you're headed to the Bash On Broadway to ring in the New Year, hop aboard the Music City Star for just $13 round trip.

The Regional Transit Authority got the idea to offer the train to revelers after sold out crowds jumped on board for a lift to Nashville's 4th of July celebration.  This is the first year it's running on New Year's Eve.

Cary Foust, the RTA Spokesperson, says "You don't
have to pay to park. You don't have to fight the hassle downtown.  You can leave your car at the outlying areas where it's free to park at all
the outlying stations."

There are five of them in fact stretching from Lebanon to the city with drop off at Riverfront Station.

They'll even let you bring lawn chairs and small coolers as long as they fit under the seat.

It's 'all aboard' for the first 400 revelers for perhaps one of the hottest and cheapest tickets in town.
