SAVING YOU MONEY: College Degree, Checking Account, Hotel Rooms

Stacy Case

I'm Saving You Money on everything from hotel rooms to a checking account, even a college degree.
A small, but growing number of private colleges are agreeing to help students pay back their student loans.
The loan repayment assistance programs cover student loan bills until the students secure a job that pays well.
These programs encourage students to first pursue lower paying jobs in their field -- sometimes in the public sector.
Law schools have offered these programs for decades to encourage young attorneys to consider public service jobs.

We've talked a lot over the last couple of years about bank and checking account fees.
Tonight, T-Mobile is rolling out a free checking account through an app on its smartphones.
Customers can upload checks, transfer money and find no fee ATM's offered by T-Mobile.

Have you ever had to cancel a trip and been stuck with the non refundable hotel room charge.
Maybe your team didn't make it to the Super Bowl and you're trying to get your money back right now.
I want to tell you about a site called www.roomertravel.com that lets you sell your reservation to people itching for a deal.
It's a win win.  It's like Stubhub, except for hotel rooms.
