NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Republican leaders of the State House are making it clear they haven't changed their minds on expanding Medicaid. Speaker of the House Beth Harwell (R-Nashville) says Governor Bill Haslam made the right decision earlier this year not to expand Medicaid under Obamacare. Some 140,000 Tennesseans would have received health coverage under the expansion. Harwell says Tennessee can't afford the more than $200 million in extra costs Medicaid expansion would bring in year 3.
