NASHVILLE, Tenn. - the Diocese of Nashville is joining Catholic groups around the country filing suit over the Affordable Healthcare Act. The health plan designed by President Barack Obama would require employers to provide free contraceptive drugs to those they ensure. Catholic leaders say the requirement violates their religious principals. Catholics believe that life begins at conception, making contraceptive drugs morally wrong. Religious leaders view the requirement as an attack on religious freedom. The Nashville Diocese filed suit in federal court on Friday.
