Possibly First Ever Video of Supreme Court
This may be the first ever video shot of the Supreme Court in session.
The high court, much like most federal courts, bans outside recording devices. That rule is becoming increasingly difficult to enforce as mobile technology improves.
This video is believed to have been shot without permission by a democracy activism group called 99rise while hearing arguments in the case of McCutcheon v. FEC, a campaign financing case most recently argued on Oct. 8, 2013. The Supreme Court is aware of the video and is checking its authenticity.
