Last month, Senator Corker announced that he would not be running for his Senate seat after his current term expires at the end of 2018.

Todd Womack, Senator Corker's Chief of Staff, says that President Trump called Senator Corker this last Monday afternoon, asking him to reconsider his decision not to seek reelection, and reaffirmed that he would have endorsed him, as he has said many times.

Womack also told us that the Senator is "focused on the next 15 months and ending his time in the Senate strong."

Senator Corker tweeted an hour after the President, calling the White House an "adult day care" and saying that someone had "missed their shift this morning."

President Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon, saying that Corker gave the U.S. the Iran Deal, "& that's about it," adding that "we need people that can get the job done."
